Dow Key Supplier for Largest Desalination Project in World

The Dow Chemical Co., announced that FILMTEC reverse osmosis membrane elements have been chosen for the largest desalination project in the world. The OTID Consortium, made up of Vivendi Group and IDE Technologies Ltd., selected FILMTEC for a seawater desalination plant located at the Asheklon site of the Eilat-Ashkelon Pipeline Corp. in Israel.

The Water and Desalination Authority of Israel will benefit from this initiative, using the treated water to supplement and upgrade the existing potable municipal water supply in this region with extremely dry conditions and limited fresh water resources.
