December WWD Issue Highlights Top Project Winners

Nov. 27, 2013

Aging infrastructure, ever-changing regulations and tight budgets present the water and wastewater treatment industry with a challenging road ahead. Still, innovation continues to propel tens of thousands of noteworthy industry projects.

For a fifth consecutive year, Water & Wastes Digest encouraged project leaders to submit entries showcasing their efforts.

Nominated projects differed in terms of goal, size and price, from $530,000 up to $637 million. Winners were selected based on the variety of obstacles faced and overcome by all parties involved with the projects, as well as final goals achieved and success met.

This year, WWD’s editorial team presented the 2013 Top Projects awards at an Oct. 8, 2013, ceremony held at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Chicago during WEFTEC.13. Additionally, each winning project has been highlighted in WWD’s December issue.

Thanks to all project leaders who took the time to submit entries and photos for our program. We look forward to recognizing our industry’s hard work in 2014.
