DASANI, Disney Distribution Agreement Expanded

Sept. 23, 2002

The Walt Disney Company and The Coca-Cola Company have expanded their multi-year agreement by which DASANI Water will be the featured bottled water at Disney's U.S. parks and resorts. The water also will be served on the Disney Cruise Line. The alliance includes sponsorship and promotional opportunities, including advertising buys across Disney's media properties through ABC Unlimited.

As part of the relationship, visitors to Disney's U.S. theme parks and resorts will be among the first to try the new DASANI 24-ounce sports bottle packaging. The new DASANI 24-ounce features a slim, easy to carry bottle and a proprietary, twist-open top.

DASANI also will be an associate sponsor of The Walt Disney World Marathon. In addition, The Coca-Cola Company will expand DASANI's media spend across Disney's media properties, such as ABC-TV, ESPN and Lifetime.

"The Coca-Cola Company has enjoyed a 47-year relationship with The Walt Disney Company and we are pleased to now extend our relationship to include DASANI bottled water," said Melody Justice, senior vice president for Media and Marketing Alliances at Coca-Cola North America.

"We are pleased to expand our relationship with The Coca-Cola Company into the bottled water category and welcome its increased presence at our parks," said Paul Pressler, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman.

The Coca-Cola Company has supplied beverages at Walt Disney attractions since 1955. In early 2001, The Coca-Cola Company entered into a global alliance with Disney to market a new line of non-carbonated children's beverages.
