Corpus Christi Water Department Implements Hexagram's Fixed-Network Automatic Meter Reading Sy

Hexagram, Inc., manufacturer of the leading fixed-network automatic meter reading (AMR) system in the water industry, announced that The City of Corpus Christi, TX (City) has selected the Hexagram STAR Fixed-Network AMR System to fully automate its water and gas meter reading program which is comprised of 146,000 meters in its service area. The STAR AMR System will utilize the City's WiFi and fiber optic network for the AMR communications structure.

The project is a joint effort between Hexagram, Inc., Northrop Grumman Commercial Information Systems, Inc., and National Metering Service. Northrop Grumman is the prime integrator of the proposed system and National Metering Service will provide field services for the water and gas Meter transmission Unit (MTU) installations.

"We found the STAR AMR solution to support 100 pecent of the City's water and gas service area through an excellent blend of innovative AMR technology and unparalleled installation and implementation services, said Leonard Scott, AMR/WiFi Project Manager for the City.
