Millions of gallons of water still are unaccounted for in Clinton, Okla., city officials said Monday.
They said the problem started in 2003, when 25 million gallons went missing. Since then, about 30 million gallons have been lost.
City officials said the problem could be caused by errors in water level readings. Another possibility, they said, is that someone could be stealing the water.
Leaders said that they are no closer to solving the mystery than they were nearly two years ago, when the missing water was first noticed.
