Engineering firm makes national purchases

Pittsburgh-based Chester Engineers, a national leader in providing water and wastewater and environmental solutions, has purchased several business units, including Maryland-based VIEW Engineering, from N.A. Water Systems, a part of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies.

“Chester has the financial resources and strategic desire to aggressively pursue and enter markets that others may be overlooking at the moment because of the tough economic environment,” Robert O. Agbede, Chester’s president and CEO, said. This most recent acquisition is part of Agbede’s ongoing strategy to expand into markets where businesses have synergy with the company’s capabilities, resources and infrastructure.

“We will restructure, realign and retool ourselves to make sure our new units are in alignment with Chester’s core values and mission,” Agbede said.
