Biomixer Wins Top Water Quality Award for Innovation

WEF to Present Honor at Conference in Chicago

Biomixer Corp., which designs and fabricates a revolutionary new line of aeration and mixing systems for wastewater treatment, will receive the prestigious Innovative Technology Award from the Water Environment Federation (WEF) at the Federation's 75th annual technical conference and in Chicago. The privately-owned, Hawthorne, Calif., company, spent eight years developing their award-winning technology, which combines fine bubble efficiency and tremendous mixing capabilities with a patented variable-depth operating system for efficient and energy-saving Automatic Dissolved Oxygen Control. Biomixer won the WEF award in the Process Equipment category.

"Over the years, Biomixer has made a significant investment in the development of this new technology and are very honored that the Water Environment Federation is recognizing us for our innovation and contributions to the industry," said Biomixer President Win Freeman, " Our company has a long-term commitment to improving water standards in the U.S. and around the world, and our goal is to safeguard for the next generation our most precious resource."

Biomixer will be honored during the "WEF Celebration of Excellence" ceremony on October 1, 2002, at 5:15 PM (Central Time) at McCormick Place. Media is invited to attend. The ceremony will also include the installation of new officers for the Water Environment Federation. WEFTEC 2002 (September 28-October 2) is North America's largest water quality conference and exposition (www.WEFTEC.org). More than 15,000 of the world's leading water quality experts and 800 companies featuring the latest in water pollution control technology are expected for this major event which will be keynoted by EPA Administrator Christine Todd Whitman and Chicago Mayor Richard Dailey. Biomixer is in Booth# 3066 at WEFTEC.
