Congratulations to W&WD's WWEMA Scholarship Award Winner, Aadit Pujara

Nov. 8, 2016
Each year, Water & Wastes Digest supports future water and wastewater professionals through the WWEMA/W&WD Scholarship, by awarding $1,000 to a student seeking a career in a water- or wastewater-related field. This year, W&WD was pleased to announce the winner: Aadit Pujara. Pujara is a second-year mechanical engineering student at California State University - Los Angeles. The award was presented at the Chairman's Award Reception and Dinner, part of WWEMA's 108th Annual Meeting held at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Fla. Pujara has always been interested in water treatment and conservation, and is pursuing an internship with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. He also is involved in a campus organization called EcoCar, where he’s working with a team to convert a sports car from gas to electric. In addition to water and electric cars, Pujara is interested in solar energy and aviation. One common theme throughout all of his interests is a focus on eco-friendliness and environmental engineering. Pujara's parent's WWEMA member company is Evoqua.
