First Pentair Distributor to Complete NSF/ANSI Standard 44 Certification for High Efficiency Cation Water Treatment Devices

Performance Water Products, Inc. has completed the NSF/ANSI Standard 44 certification process for its high efficiency water softener models.

President Kristopher Mecca stated that he is particularly proud of the fact that Performance is the first Pentair distributor to achieve NSF/ANSI certification on a number of system’s using Fleck softener control valves. "As part of our quality and performance commitment, we felt that obtaining the certification would be a huge benefit to our customers" stated Mecca. "Offering our professional water treatment customers products that set them apart in the marketplace is at the core of our business philosophy. Customers are the "driver" on the Performance Team".

Additional system certifications will be completed by years end. This will result in a line up of systems utilizing the Pentair valves. The company has focused on the high efficiency and high flow models to meet the demands of newer homes as well as state and local codes. "Our PWP7000-2.0 has a certified flow rate of 19.2 gpm," stated Mecca, "and our PWP7000-2.33 has received the highest certified flow rate of any residential softener". "The PWP7000-2.33 is an impressive 23.1 gpm making it the highest flow model currently certified by NSF".

In addition to achieving NSF certification, Performance also offers specified homebuilder marketing materials designed to highlight high efficiency and performance directly to the new homeowner. These materials enable builders to stress the benefit of built-in water treatment appliances that are installed, maintained and serviced by professional water treatment dealers. The response in the marketplace is "overwhelming" according to Mecca.
