Free DVD shows benefits of surface water treatment facility

Arizona American Water is releasing an informational DVD on the White Tanks Regional Water Treatment Facility to help customers understand the value it brings to the west valley.

According to the company, the White Tanks Water Treatment Facility saves billions of gallons of groundwater each year. The facility uses water from the Colorado River though the Central Arizona Project, instead of water from local wells.

“This new DVD is a great way to share this forward-looking facility with our customers and others in the region interested in sustainability,” said Paul Townsley, president of Arizona American Water. “Facilities such as this are a long-term, sustainable solution for our region.”

The video can be viewed on Arizona American Water’s website, www.arizonaamwater.com, or a free copy can be mailed to customers.
