Fresh off the heels of CS Week Conference, Aptumo, a billing and customer information system (CIS) for the water utilities industry, offers a recap of the 46th annual event which took place in Phoenix, Arizona.

The engaging and productive five-day event gathered over 2,000 utility professionals and industry partners from around the world to network and discuss the future of customer service. Aptumo proudly showcased its next-generation billing and customer information system that empowers water utilities to advance the customer experience. As a Gold Sponsor of the conference, Aptumo, together with two of its clients, hosted a 60-minute workshop on how water utilities can leverage modern CIS products.

The conference was an ideal opportunity for Aptumo to extend its global footprint and to announce its launch in the U.S. market. The company’s strategic expansion reinforces its leading position and market demand for its billing and CIS platform. Since 2018, Aptumo has built a strong presence in the U.K. and Australia with the company’s products now billing 15 million households. With additional resources and investment in the U.S., Aptumo is poised to become one of the most impactful technology providers in the global water utility market.

Next month, Aptumo will be a major sponsor of the VicWater Conference 2022 in Melbourne, Australia, June 8 to 9, 2022. Aptumo Australia’s Director Tony Kelly will deliver the morning address at the annual VicWater Conference on Thursday, June 8, at 8:45 a.m. at The Langham Melbourne. Kelly will be joined by Damian Wells, Managing Director at Coliban Water to provide a unique perspective on lessons learned and procurement advice for utilities and vendors.

Developed by Echo Managed Services, Aptumo is part of South Staffordshire Plc which operates two regulated water utilities, offers the water sector a range of services and software solutions, and is backed up by over 170 years of water sector experience. Echo has been the U.K.’s water utility customer management and billing market-leader for over 20 years and currently provides billing and customer management services to 15 million households and over one-third of all British water utility companies.

Aptumo’s flexible and highly configurable platform enables water utilities to easily adapt their capabilities to the changing needs and expectations of customers. Aptumo automates and simplifies manual processes, enhances convenient customer self-service capabilities, and accelerates digital transformation. Built on the Salesforce platform, the easy-to-use and cost-effective software provides security, performance and governance, and seamlessly integrates with various tools and systems.

“Many water utilities continue to operate legacy CIS systems that can hinder the ability to deliver a standard of service that customers have come to expect from suppliers” said Monica Mackintosh, Managing Director at Aptumo. “Aptumo’s modern and scalable platform allows greater agility and control over configuration changes and eliminates the costly and inefficient requirement for continued system maintenance and vendor support that’s needed by legacy systems. In fact, Aptumo can reduce outsourced development needs by more than 50%, compared to current CIS and billing software options.”
