WWEMA Calls for 2014 Board Nominations

Oct. 3, 2013
Applications must be submitted by Oct. 18, 2013

The Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Assn. (WWEMA) is seeking board members for 2014. WWEMA is a member-driven association that relies on volunteers for committee activities, conferences, strategic planning and budget allocation. Applications must be submitted by Oct. 18, 2013.

The only requirement is that applicants be a “Full Member” (Manufacturer) of WWEMA who has demonstrated commitment to the association. Benefits of serving on the board include exposure to personal and professional contacts and the chance to exchange ideas with fellow leaders.

Members will elect the 2014 Board at WWEMA’s November Annual Meeting from candidates nominated.

Board members are called upon to think strategically, lead and govern and advance WWEMA’s primary aim by executing vision and stewardship for the benefit of WWEMA and its members

The 2014 Board will consist of up to 18 members, including five officers. The new members elected will each serve three-year terms. The continuing board members (excluding officers) will complete their remaining years of service. All board members are eligible to serve a second, three-year term if nominated.

The board meets twice a year, in April at the WWEMA Washington Forum and in November at the WWEMA Annual Meeting. Interested candidates must complete the board application form by the deadline.
