RJN Group Inc., a consulting engineering and specialty field services firm, welcomed John Welch, P.E., CFM, to its Chicagoland operations. For the past nine years, Welch served as city engineer for Highland Park, Ill. At RJN, Welch will work as a senior project manager to find solutions for aging infrastructure in northern Illinois and beyond.
“Municipalities are under pressure to provide better services with fewer resources,” Welch said. “Working for RJN gives me an opportunity to help multiple communities address the reliability and integrity of their infrastructure.”
Welch is an Illinois native who earned his Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He has devoted his career to engineering, specializing in municipal capital improvement programs, the design and construction of infrastructure and floodplain management.
