Joanne Kahl & Carrie Boner received Customer Excellence Awards from the Professional Association for Customer Engagement

American Water announced that two of its American Water Resources (AWR) subsidiary employees, Joanne Kahl, claims specialist and Carrie Boner, customer service specialist, received Customer Excellence Awards from the Professional Association for Customer Engagement (PACE). These awards are designed to recognize the best and the brightest in the customer engagement industry.

Kahl was named Representative of the Year, which focuses on a single customer service professional recognized as the ‘Best of the Best’ in the customer experience industry. She joined AWR in 2008 and has since received the company’s top Quality Assurance (QA) honor and the Regal Award for Quality for four years. Additionally, she has received a 100% quality rating every month in 2014 from the company’s QA department. Kahl has successfully completed the company’s Emerging Leaders Mentoring Program and was selected for the 2014 Emerging Leaders Foundations Program, which is AWR’s certification program offered to top performers to prepare them for promotional opportunities.

Boner received the Customer Service Representative Award, which is given to individuals who consistently create exceptional experiences for their customers. Boner joined AWR in 2012 and is currently enrolled in the Emerging Leaders Mentoring Program and just recently received her Property and Casualty Agent’s license. She consistently receives high or perfect quality ratings each month and is ranked amongst the top in both sales and customer retention. Boner has mastered the ability to balance advocacy for the customer, while maintaining the best interest of the company.

“Both Joanne and Carrie place a high value on providing exceptional customer service and are most deserving of this award,” said President of American Water Resources Malcolm Conner. “At American Water, customers are our number one priority, and these employees continuously strive to go above and beyond to create an excellent experience for our customers.”
