Aclara Technologies Names New CEO & President

Allan Connolly was previously chief operating officer for Culligan

Allan Connolly, an operations and technology executive with global leadership experience, has been named CEO and president of Aclara Technologies LLC. Aclara is a provider of intelligent infrastructure technologies to water, gas and electric utilities.

Connolly joins Aclara from a position as chief operating officer for Culligan. Prior to his tenure at Culligan, where he spent seven years in progressively more responsible leadership positions, he held executive and management roles with GE Energy and GE Global Research.

Connolly is charged with growing Aclara, a brand in advanced metering infrastructure and the smart grid. He plans to make a fast start by identifying new opportunities that will benefit both existing and new customers.

“I am fortunate to have the opportunity to lead Aclara, a company with a strong tradition of quality products and customer service, as well as a loyal customer base,” Connolly said.

“As a leader, I relish the opportunity to work in partnership with Aclara’s customers and employees to quickly identify the best opportunities and strategies to build the company,” Connolly added.

A native of Australia, Connolly holds a doctorate in engineering from the Australian National University, as well as Master of Science and Bachelor of Engineering degrees from the University of Wollongong, in Australia.
