Acquisition of the storm water firm gives Woolpert additional storm water expertise
Woolpert, Inc. recently announced the acquisition of TEK Science, a storm water specialty firm located in Orlando, Fla.
“The acquisition of TEK Science will provide Woolpert with an added level of expertise in water management,” said Mike Flannery, Woolpert’s president and CEO. “We will be leveraging our firmwide storm water experience to offer robust and comprehensive water management solutions to our clients throughout Florida and the Southeast.”
TEK Science joins Woolpert with extensive experience in storm water retrofit design, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) compliance, storm water drainage design, storm water modeling and utility design. Woolpert also recently acquired Rockett & Associates of Orlando Park, Fla., a firm that specializes in water distribution and sewer collection.
“We are looking forward to collaborating with the professionals at Woolpert to help expand the firm’s water management services,” said Jeff Earhart, TEK Science owner. “Woolpert’s reputation of excellence throughout the U.S. will give our staff a great opportunity to continue to grow professionally while providing clients with added expertise.”
Founded in 2005, TEK Science has been providing state, local and private-sector clients with in-depth storm water design and compliance services. The firm was integral to the success of a nationally recognized $20-million, 125-unit housing project. As the civil engineer, TEK Science contributed to the overall success of the not-for-profit effort of the Casa San Juan Bosco project to build affordable housing for DeSoto County, Fla., area low-income farm workers and their families.
