While e-mail, conference calls, social media and various other forms of communication are helpful for building and maintaining professional relationships, none of them can match the impact of face-to-face meetings.

Next week, thousands of water professionals will head to Chicago for WEFTEC.13, for the Water Environment Federation’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

From Oct. 5 to 9, WEFTEC.13 attendees will have an opportunity to learn about key industry topics such as facility operations and maintenance, water reclamation and reuse, disinfection and public health, and collection systems and distribution. In addition to hundreds of technical session and numerous workshops, this year’s conference also will offer tours of seven facilities, giving participants the opportunity to observe projects, construction and operations at sites and popular attractions in the Chicago area.

For those of you who will be attending, the staff of Water & Wastes Digest looks forward to seeing you in Chicago. Be sure to stop by our booth #907.
