Boost for InfoWorks as Wallingford expands into North American market

Wallingford Software, Ltd. (www.wallingfordsoftware.com ), the leadingdeveloper of water management software solutions worldwide, announced the launch of Wallingford Software, Inc. to directly supply the North American market with the InfoWorks suite of network modelling products.

Based in Fort Worth, Texas the company will provide service to both new and existing customers.

Since 1996 Wallingford's products have been supplied and supported in the USA by another Fort Worth company, Applied Geographic Technologies (AGT).

AGT staff previously responsible for the sales and support of Wallingford products will be moving across to the new organization and will continue to work with their existing software clients. The company's President will be Tom Davies, previously of AGT.

Dale Orth and Brad Pierce, both well known to AGT consulting and software clients, will assume the primary management roles in AGT. AGT will continue in its rapid growth as a major provider of hydraulic engineering, modeling and field GIS data creation services, and will remain a leading user of Wallingford Software products.

Steve Tunstall, Managing Director of Wallingford Software Ltd, said, "This is an important development for both our customers and our company. It allows us to build on the excellent work done by AGT over several years. We will rapidly expand our presence throughout North America and anticipate opening additional new offices on the East and West coasts within the next three months."

InfoWorks is the only integrated modelling package that spans the separate disciplines of water supply, distribution, collection and river systems.

Composed of three modules [InfoWorks WS for water supply, InfoWorks CS for collection systems and InfoWorks RS for river systems], InfoWorks is designed to maximise the operational performance of modelling teams through the adoption of common functionality across the different industry sectors.
