The Virtual Classroom

March 26, 2012

With busier than ever schedules and less staff responsible for doing more work, the days of face-to-face training are fewer and far between. As a result, a new wave of online training in the form of webinars or virtual tradeshows, are frequently attracting people.

Overall, water professionals who have participated in these events offer positive feedback. This is no surprise as travel has become more difficult and time away from work is more costly.

Last week, Water & Wastes Digest’s sister publication Storm Water Solutions hosted its first ever Storm Water Solutions Virtual Expo in cooperation with Stormwater USA.

Approximately 1,000 water professionals attended the event from the comfort of their own offices. The event offered a unique online experience with various educational and networking opportunities
