Environmental organization welcomes Laurent Auguste, president and CEO of Veolia Water Americas, to its board of directors

Laurent Auguste, president and CEO of Veolia Water Americas, a provider of municipal and industrial water and wastewater partnerships, joined the Clean Water America Alliance (CWAA) as a newly elected member of its board of directors.

The CWAA, a nonprofit organization launched in 2008, focuses on water sustainability and improving public awareness of issues concerning water. The essential objectives of the Alliance are to analyze the nation's ability to provide clean and safe water to its people, educate citizens and legislators on human and climate impact on water and recognize organizations and individuals at the forefront of innovation and achievement in water quality.

"The Alliance is honored to have a cutting-edge company such as Veolia represented on its board of directors," said Ken Kirk, president of the Clean Water America Alliance. "We look forward to Laurent's participation as his enormous experience in the water industry will help ensure that the Alliance's objectives are met.

"The work of the CWAA toward water sustainability dovetails perfectly with Veolia's commitment to working with municipalities and industries to provide high-quality water for our customers. We've been impressed with the group's progress over the past two years, and I'm honored to continue to work with them to expand the dialogue on clean and safe water."
