USFilter Introduces Strantrol FVC Controller

Feb. 6, 2004

USFilter Stranco Products introduces a new and innovative controller that provides accurate and reliable dosing measurement of metering pumps and chemicals in a wide range of chemical feed applications.

The Strantrol Feed Verification Controller (FVC) provides consistent, worry-free monitoring and control for a large selection of metering pumps that accept pulse inputs. Once programmed, the economical Strantrol FVC eliminates the guesswork and maintains the user-set dosage without the frustration of continued inspection and pump adjustments by operators.

The Strantrol FVC is particularly effective for applications where pumps are remotely located and not easily accessible such as in cooling towers or boilers.

A key benefit of the Strantrol FVC is that it not only controls but also verifies the liquid chemical feed rate of the actual chemical dispensed. The accuracy and precision of the Strantrol FVC eliminates problematic situations that are associated with overfeeding or underfeeding chemicals. A proportional feedback signal changes the stroke rate of the pump compensating for changes in pump output. The controller is configured with a 4-20mA flow verification output for remote display or data logging. In addition, the user can use a remote 4-20mA signal to change the setpoint.
