WWEMA Member Survey Reflects Market Growth

The survey tracks the experiences of manufacturers and their representatives within the water and wastewater market in eight areas

The Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Assn. (WWEMA) has released the results of its 2015 Member Market Indicators Survey. The survey tracks the experiences of manufacturers and their representatives within the water and wastewater market in eight areas:

  • Design work;
  • Quotations;
  • Bookings/Orders;
  • Sales: Domestic;
  • Sales: International;
  • Company Employment;
  • Materials Costs; and
  • Industry Market Growth.

Thirty-one companies responded to the 2015 survey. Results show an upward trend in the market, with 70% of respondents indicating they saw domestic sales improve over the 12 months from September 2014 to August 2015 vs. the previous 12 months, and 62% reporting increases in bookings and orders during that time. Members expressed cautious optimism regarding near-term sales, with none predicting a decline in domestic sales for the next 12 months, 70% predicting a modest growth of 2.5% to 5%, 17% predicting growth greater than 5%, and 13% predicting flat sales.
