Under the approval, the hybrid water treatment technology may be used in Washington to clear turbid water in industrial applications

HaloSource, Inc., the company that develops and manufactures HaloKlear water clarification products, has received the Washington State Department of Ecology’s General Use Level Designation (GULD) for its HaloKlear BHR-P50 hybrid polymer used in conjunction with Chitosan Enhanced Sand Filtration system.

The Washington State Department of Ecology is recognized as having one of the nation’s most stringent testing standards for product approval and influences regulation changes in other key environmentally focused states. Prior to approval, the HaloKlear BHR-P50 underwent extensive toxicity testing and in market site performance reviews.

Under GULD approval, BHR-P50 may be used in Washington, subject to certain use level conditions, to clear turbid water in industrial applications. This is the fourth HaloKlear product that has received Washington GULD approval. HaloKlear BHR-P50 is a hybrid polymer that offers a greener alternative to commodity chemicals.
