Thompson Pump & Manufacturing of Port Orange, Fla., appointed Darrell Sissel as their Kansas City branch manager. Located at 504 South 70th Street, the Kansas City branch is one of 19 Thompson Pump locations nationwide, and provides a full line of pump products and accessories for sale or rental and the expertise to provide solutions for the toughest dewatering, bypass and emergency pumping applications.

Sissel brings over 25 years of sales and management experience to his position. His responsibilities include overseeing sales, rental and service, and assuring all rental equipment is serviced and maintained to Thompson Pump quality standards. Sissel will also work closely with his knowledgeable sales staff to support existing customers and develop new business throughout the territory, which covers Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas.

“Darrell's vast and varied experience in the construction equipment industry made him a shoe-in for the branch manager position at our Kansas City location,” said Pat Broderick, midwest regional manager. His background ranges from finance to sales, and he previously worked with two large heavy equipment dealers as well as managed a national general rental store

“Darrell stepped right into this position and came up to speed quickly, making the transition to a new branch manager very seamless,” said Broderick.
