Every year Water & Wastes Digest supports future water and wastewater professionals through the WWEMA/WWD Scholarship, by awarding $1,000 to a student seeking a career in a water- or wastewater-related field. The deadline for 2014 applications is Friday, Oct. 17, 2014.
To qualify for the WWD scholarship, students must have a parent employed by a WWEMA-member company and must be accepted into a four-year bachelor’s program in an acceptable field of study by an accredited institution of higher learning. Examples of acceptable fields of study include biology, chemical engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental sciences and/or natural resources planning.
