Reichelderfer Promoted to Senior VP at ITT Industries

The ITT Industries, Inc. Board of Directors has voted to promote Brenda L. Reichelderfer to the position of senior vice president. Reichelderfer is president of the company's Motion & Flow Control businesses and was elected vice president of the corporation in 2001.

"Brenda has provided strong leadership for our Motion & Flow Control businesses, and is a valued member of the ITT Industries Executive Council," said Lou Giuliano, chairman, president and chief executive officer of ITT Industries. "During her 20-year tenure at ITT, she's gained a broad understanding of all of our business units, and displays a continuing enthusiasm for leading people to effect change and improvement. This is a well-deserved promotion."

Reichelderfer joined ITT Industries' predecessor company, ITT Corporation, in 1982. She held a variety of positions in engineering and operations for ITT Defense & Electronics, and was named vice president of Engineering for the Electrical Systems Group in ITT's former Automotive division in 1996. In 1998, she was named president of the Flow Control group. She became president of the Motion & Flow Control businesses in 2001. Reichelderfer was awarded the prestigious Ring of Quality Award for individual contribution in 1988 and the Harold S. Geneen Award for Creative Management in 1991. She holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the Ohio Northern University.
