R. W. Beck, Inc. Marks 60th Anniversary Milestone

Feb. 15, 2002
Management consulting and engineering firm R. W. Beck, Inc. celebrates its 60th year in business during 2002.

Founded in 1942 by the late Robert W. Beck, the firm that specializes in providing services for the public and private utility industry has come a long way since its beginnings, but still has held true to its core business principles.

From a sole proprietorship in Columbus, Neb., where the company still operates an office, to a network of 22 offices nationwide, the firm provides professional services in the areas of energy, water, wastewater, solid waste and telecommunications.

President and CEO Nicholas P. Guarriello said that R. W. Beck strives to provide clients with the highest quality services in those key business areas.

"Mr. Beck once said, 'Our responsibility is to know our clients, know their needs and know how to best meet those needs,' and I think it is as true today as when he first started the company 60 years ago."

Operated for many years as R. W. Beck and Associates, the company evolved into a privately held corporation in 1996 and currently goes by R. W. Beck, Inc.

Areas of specialty include management and technical consulting, financial analyses, risk management, owner's engineering and advisory services, litigation/arbitration/mediation support among others.

Currently, the company has more than 500 employees nationwide.
