Wilden, part of PSG, a Dover company and manufacturer of air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump technology, announced that it is celebrating its 60-year anniversary in 2015.

Headquartered in Grand Terrace, Calif., Wilden was founded in 1955 by Jim Wilden when he invented the AODD pump. Since that time, Wilden has provided solutions for a range of applications in the energy, chemical, process and water and wastewater industries. Wilden became part of PSG in 2008, and now spans more than 160 countries with more than 180 distributors worldwide.

Designed to provide performance, reliability and efficiency, the line of AODD pumps includes Original Clamped Metal & Plastic, Advanced Bolted Metal & Plastic, Advanced FIT, and Saniflo FDA and Hygienic Series (HS). To compliment the AODD pumps, Wilden also offers a complete line of Air Distribution Systems (ADS) designed to increase productivity while reducing energy consumption, air consumption and maintenance, including the Pro-Flo X and the Pro-Flo SHIFT. Additionally, the company offers a full line of diaphragm technologies that have been engineered to optimize the performance of the AODD pumps. Examples include Full-Stroke PTFE Diaphragms, Full Stroke Integral-Piston Diaphragms and EZ-Install Diaphragms, among others.

“We are extremely excited to be celebrating our 60-year anniversary at Wilden,” said Denny Buskirk, managing director for Wilden. “As the inventor of the AODD pump, Wilden is a company founded on innovation, and therefore, is constantly introducing new technologies that will help bring AODD pumping technology into the future…Celebrating 60 years in business is a testament to the dedication shown by both our employees and channel partners.”

To celebrate 60 years, Wilden hosted a distributor meeting and hall-of-fame dinner in conjunction with the annual Wilden Golf Tournament. At the event, Wilden provided an overview of the company’s 60-year history while highlighting some of its most significant pump innovations.
