Global Pump Earns ISO Certification

Sept. 16, 2015
Company earns three-year certificate for achieving international quality standards.

Global Pump announced that it has earned ISO 9001:2008 certification. Achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification requires the implementation of quality system requirements throughout an organization.

“The standard management and quality system gives us the framework to continue our journey as a company committed to continuously improving everything we do. Obtaining the ISO Certification in three months has been a challenging but rewarding process. Our employees continue to exercise a solid commitment to our quality objectives and we are excited about what the future brings in terms of new potential markets and growth opportunities,” said Andrew Ferreri, COO of Global Pump.

The International Standards Organization website cites quality management principles including “a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement” as the critical components to maintaining ISO 9001:2008 certification, once it is achieved.

“In addition to confirming and maintaining our own operational efficiencies through certification, we are pleased to be able to accommodate our customers who require ISO certification as a prerequisite to doing business. Now that we’ve achieved certification, our goal is to retain it indefinitely,” said Global Pump President Gino Mersino.

Global Pump is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Mersino Group, a source for pumping services, contract dewatering, one-pass trenching, power generation and drilling.
