Prominent Leader in Water Treatment Industry to Accelerate Expansion of Water Dealer Program

Aug. 14, 2002

Innovative Medical Services, a biosciences company that develops and markets technology-based products involving water purification/treatment, pest control, and anti-microbial applications, today announced the appointment of Mike Paice as president of the company's Nutripure Water Treatment Division.

"We are very fortunate to have an industry leader like Mike Paice take charge of our Nutripure Water Dealer program," stated Michael L. Krall, president and chief executive officer of Innovative Medical Services. "With more than 25 years of experience in the water treatment industry, Mike has compiled an impressive track record of building and implementing effective sales and marketing programs similar to ours. Under his guidance, we expect a rapid expansion in our Water Dealer program, contributing greatly to an acceleration in revenue growth at our Nutripure Water Treatment Division in the coming months and years."

Prior to joining Innovative Medical Services in this newly created position, Paice served as president of Sharp Water Inc., a division of Chesapeake Utilities (CPK). Paice was responsible for the existing water treatment business at Sharp Water Inc. for the development of new water treatment operations and for the identification and evaluation of potential acquisitions. Before joining Sharp Water Inc., Paice served as general manager for U.S. Filter/Culligan (now Vivendi Environment -- (VE) in Las Vegas, where he was responsible for operations, the acquisition of two additional water companies, marketing and operational transitions, and the management of three retail stores. From 1985 to 1997, he was owner of Rayne Water/Crystal Bottled Water, the largest independent water conditioning and treatment company in Las Vegas (measured by sales volume). In 1997, Paice sold his business to U.S. Filter/Culligan.

"I am extremely excited about the growth prospects that I see for Innovative Medical Services in the water treatment market," observed Paice. "The company developed an outstanding program for water dealers, and I believe Nutripure can take advantage of a leadership void which currently exists in the independent dealer segment of the market as a result of recent consolidation within the water treatment industry. The investment and infrastructure are complete, and Nutripure's `Pharmacist Trusted' products, marketing, sales and financing capabilities will develop a strong `footprint' in this market sector. We are moving aggressively to exploit this opportunity."

Paice attended the University of Kentucky, majoring in Business and Marketing. He has also served on various industry advisory councils and civic organization boards.
