Will be working on two projects as part of 2012 Wastewater Collection System Improvements program
The city of Branson, Mo., has hired RJN Group Inc. for their 2012 Wastewater Collection System Improvements program. RJN will be working on two separate project packages based on location and work type.
The first package consists of projects in the downtown Branson area, taking place in public streets and private residences. The downtown projects are made up of approximately 3,200 lineal ft of existing 6-in. and 8-in. diameter sanitary sewer pipes that need to be rehabilitated. RJN will prepare plans and specifications for the city to advertise for sewer cleaning, CIPP lining, approximately 50 lateral reconnections and some manhole rehabilitation.
The second package has RJN working in the Fall Creek Valley area, which runs through various vacation resort and campground properties. A number of existing force mains in the area have recently failed, and an existing lift station is failing and is in need of major maintenance. The city has decided to remove these facilities. RJN will design new gravity sanitary lines to accommodate the decommissioning of several existing sanitary sewer lift stations. The design calls for approximately 150 lineal ft of 6-in., 3,000 lineal feet of 8-in., and 500 lineal feet of 10-in. diameter sanitary sewers. At least 30 new manholes, 100 ft of storm pipe and 500 ft of storm channel realignment will also be included in the project.
The downtown projects and the Fall Creek Valley projects are scheduled for completion by July 2012.
