Partnership will allow collaboration in offering flow measurement technology training workshops
McCrometer is pleased to announce the appointment of petroleum industry specialists ABLE Instruments & Controls, Reading, United Kingdom, as its new manufacturers’ representative serving the oil and gas—including subsea flow metering applications—and process industries in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and aiding sales into the North Sea region countries.
MRM Technical Services of Claydon, Ipswich, England, will remain McCrometer’s exclusive representative in England and Wales until July 19, 2008.
After July 19, Able Instruments & Controls, Ltd., will be McCrometer’s exclusive representative in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and aiding sales in the North Sea region countries.
“We are excited to bring the expertise of the ABLE team to our oil/gas and process industries customers,” said Tom Swihart, McCrometer’s director of industrial sales—worldwide. “ABLE’s in-depth knowledge of this market, its systems integration expertise and its regional record of service will be of tremendous value to our customer base,” Swihart continued. “The ABLE team’s hands-on experience with flow instrumentation will in particular be of benefit in assisting our customers with McCrometer’s V-Cone Flow Meter and its innovative approach to differential pressure technology, as well as our electromagnetic and propeller meters.”

ABLE’s new facility in Aberdeen will allow McCrometer to collaborate with ABLE in offering flow measurement technology training workshops to its customers in not only the oil/gas industry, but also in the chemical, electric power, facilities management, HVAC, food, irrigation and water and wastewater.
