Plastics Pipe Institute Names Industry Veteran New Executive Director

March 10, 2006

The Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI), the nation’s major trade association representing all segments of the polyethylene piping industry, announced that Tony Radoszewski has been appointed executive director.

In his new role, Radoszewski will lead the Plastics Pipe Institute’s efforts to broaden market opportunities that make effective use of plastic pipe for numerous applications including water and gas distribution, sewer and wastewater, oil and gas production, industrial and mining uses, power and communications among others.

Radoszewski, a veteran of the plastics industry, brings more than 25 years experience to PPI. He spent 15 years at Phillips 66 Co./Phillips Driscopipe (now part of the Performance Pipe Div. of Chevron Phillips) in various leadership positions in sales, marketing and business development.

Following his career with Phillips Driscopipe, Radoszewski became the director of marketing and business development for Advanced Drainage Systems, where he was responsible for the development of all aspects of the company’s global marketing plan. During his tenure with ADS, Radoszewski held various leadership positions within the Plastics Pipe Institute.

In 2002, Radoszewski created his own marketing and advertising consulting firm focusing on industrial and business-to-business clients.

“Tony has extensive knowledge of the plastic pipe industry as well as strong leadership skills that will help take our organization to the next level,” said Kurt Waldhauer, PPI chairman of the board. “The country’s failing infrastructure is in desperate need of repair, and HDPE pipe has proven to be a long-term, safe and cost-effective solution. We are confident that Tony has the expertise to carry that message forward.”

“Technological advances in materials engineering have revolutionized the pipe industry, and high-density polyethylene has proven to outlast and outperform traditional materials such as metal and concrete,” Radoszewski added.

Radoszewski earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry in 1980 from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas.
