Pipeline Technologies Acquired By Pressure Pipe Inspection Co.

The Pressure Pipe Inspection Co. Ltd., Ontario, Canada has acquired Pipeline Technologies, Scottsdale, Arizona. Pressure Pipe is a leader in water pipe assessment.

"Pipeline Technologies is a great fit with our company," said Pressure Pipe President Brian Mergelas. "Their acoustic monitoring technology to examine water pipelines and their repair services will complement our diverse range of services. This will provide our customers with a more comple way to evaluate and maintain their pipeline infrastructure."

Founded in 1996, Pipeline Technologies pioneered the use of acoustic monitoring to assess the condition of water pipes. Will Worthington, Pipeline's president will become vice president, business development for Mexico and South America. Loren Worthingto will be the controller and administrative manager of U.S. Operations.

"By combining our services, we can help governments around the world better maintain their systems and reduce operating costs," Will Worthington said.

The Pressure Pipe Inspection Co. uses patented technology where electromagnetic waves detect and quantify damaged sections of pipe, making it possible to avoid ruptures and unnecessary repairs.
