Observant Names James Chambers Global CEO, J. Matthew Pryor CTO

Observant, a company focusing on water-management solutions for agriculture, announced the appointment of James Chambers as global chief executive officer. Current CEO and co-founder J. Matthew Pryor will focus on the new role of chief technology officer for the company.

Chambers most recently served as director of marketing for Bayer CropScience, where he implemented new strategies for Bayer’s portfolio of products. He previously held a number of leadership positions with John Deere Water, including director of global product management and marketing.

Pryor was instrumental in establishing and growing the company’s presence in the U.S. and Australia. His transition from CEO to CTO represents an important step in the company’s increasing emphasis on technology. Pryor’s expertise and passion for innovation and technology strategy make him the ideal choice as CTO.
