NSF to Participate in 72nd Annual NEHA Educational Conference Exhibition

May 27, 2008
More than 1500 people will attend the four-day conference in Tucson, Ariz.

NSF Intl. recently announced its participation in the 72nd Annual Educational Conference (AEC) Exhibition. This year's National Environmental Health Association (NEHA) conference has been specially designed to present education in ways that appeal to all generations of the environmental health workforce.

The four-day NEHA conference expects more than 1500 attendees and features more than 160 speakers and 130 educational sessions on food safety, environmental health research, onsite wastewater systems, sustainability, terrorism and all-hazards preparedness, injury protection/occupational health, indoor air quality, swimming pools/recreational waters, children’s environmental health and more.

Again this year, NSF will play a prominent support role in this premier environmental health event. NSF will exhibit at the show, teach a one-day Plan Review course, deliver several technical presentations, chair the Sustainability Panel and present the NSF/NEHA Walter F. Snyder Award for environmental health excellence. NSF is also pleased to sponsor several important activities at the conference reflecting the long and close relationship between NSF and NEHA.

The conference will be held June 22 to 25, 2008, in Tucson, Ariz., at the Westin La Paloma and the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador with free shuttle service between these two locations.

Environmental health professionals who want to learn, expand their network and stay up-to-date on issues facing the industry should attend. Participants will learn about best practices, hear cutting-edge ideas and leave with useful tools and resources. Attendees can also earn up to 24 hours of NEHA continuing education hours by attending the educational sessions—enough hours to meet the full two-year NEHA professional credential requirement.
