Annual award given for outstanding service

Timothy Stinson of S E A Consultants Inc., a civil and environmental engineering firm, was presented the New England Water Works Assn. (NEWWA) Award of Merit.

The annual award is bestowed upon an individual who has been a member of the association for a minimum of five years and who has demonstrated, in the opinion of the Award of Merit committee, the highest level of outstanding service to NEWWA, a water utility, the water works practice or any combination.

Stinson, who is from Holbrook, Mass., works in S E A Consultants’ Water Resources Group. His work on water resource projects throughout the New England region includes pre-design client consultation, design of complex water supply and storage facilities, field engineering during construction phase, start-up assistance and consultation after project completion. Stinson also is a mentor who has taught many young engineers through classes, seminars and one-on-one mentoring sessions.

“Tim brings a wealth of knowledge of water resource engineering and truly creative problem-solving to bear on some of the most challenging projects for our clients,” said Mary Loden, manager of S E A’s Water Resources Group. “I’m delighted that he was selected to receive the Award of Merit.”

Stinson also is the chairman of NEWWA’s distribution and storage committee and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ Pipeline Div. executive committee.
