Water drops on valves, RO systems in kitchens.
Bright copper piping and water cooler fixin’s.
Spiral-wound cartridges with polypropylene,
These are a few of my favorite things...

Well, no, not really. Actually, I am very much looking forward to another Christmas complete with lots of great home cooking and plenty of presents (probably not a water softener) to rip into. This year’s most sought after gift: Playstation II.

It is incredible how every year there seems to be one item that everybody wants. Previous years included the Pokemon phase, Tickle-Me tantrum, Furbee frenzy and, of course, the Beanie Baby bonanza. And we won’t even begin to talk about when Atari and Cabbage Patch dolls forced determined parents to cause or receive a few black eyes—all in the line of duty.

As with the toy industry, the water industry also proves to have some hot items. Throughout the years in every issue, we offer Water Quality Product’s New Product Showcase, which consists of new/unique products for the water treatment professional. It is a great place to turn to see new products on the market. Our showcase boasts products from the industry’s top companies, and some smaller ones, too! Our reader service system tracks the most popular products for us to display once again on your behalf. On page 22, you can find the top 15 products in highest demand for 2000. I hope to continue seeing many new products from manufacturers next year.

Not only did we have popular products, but each of our issues this year was packed with as many articles and as much information as we could jam into them. Topics ranging from new technologies, filtration and industry news to business management, marketing and sales made up our most proud and successful year so far. On page, 16, our Editorial Index lists these articles by issue and in alphabetical order. Use it as a reference guide for later and then visit our website (www.waterinfocenter.com) to view the articles in their entirety.*

On one last note, the end of the year and the holiday season provide me with the perfect opportunity to say thank you to our readers and other supporters. You have all welcomed me into this industry, and I look forward to another year together.

Our WQP family would like to wish you and your families the very best of holiday wishes.
