Flowmeter Diagnostics, Verification & Monitoring Technology Delivers Timely Information

May 20, 2016
Features are available on a number of the company’s flowmeters

Heartbeat technology from Endress+Hauser consists of three components: diagnostics, onboard verification and continuous self-monitoring. Diagnostic functions, which are standard on all Proline 3 electromagnetic, coriolis, vortex, thermal mass and ultrasonic flowmeters, provide timely information with clear remedies, which can be acted on efficiently.

With onboard verification, operators get on-demand confirmation of operational reliability and measurement performance in-situ without process interruption. Verifications are traceable according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008. Access to verification reports is extremely flexible, with no special tools or software required. Heartbeat verification is available on Proline 100, 200 and 400 flowmeters.

Heartbeat monitoring provides continuous observation of the device and process health, allowing proactive identification of trends to prevent unplanned maintenance or process shutdown. Possible process effects—such as coating, corrosion, erosion or external influences—on measurement quality can also be detected. Monitoring functions are available for Proline 100, 200 (coriolis and ultrasonic) and 400 flowmeters.
