Level-Alarming Network Extension Offers Cost-Effective Monitoring Solution

The system is ideal for economical monitoring of secondary locations

Collecting flow data and knowing what is happening within an entire wastewater collection system can be a costly endeavor, especially with hundreds of manholes and miles and miles of pipe. The Hach Level-Alarming Network Extension system provides a cost-effective way to monitor more sites throughout an entire collection system and capture more data without crushing the budget.

By pairing a low-maintenance ultrasonic level-sensor with a wireless-enabled data logger, Hach has created an intelligent, economical flow monitoring solution. The system wirelessly sends real-time flow data directly to your desktop for immediate review and analysis. If there is a problem, such as overflows or blockages, users will immediately be alerted via text message or e-mail so a team can be dispatched to resolve it.

The ultrasonic sensor is ballasted so it can be installed in a manhole from the surface, so no confined space entry is required. The system is more than just a combined sewer overflow/sanitary sewer overflow alarm. It also can be used to capture flow data utilizing flumes, weirs or Manning’s equation.

Hach recommends using the FLO-DAR AV sensor to monitor critical primary sites and then employing this economical level-alarming system at secondary locations to expand system awareness while staying within a financial plan.
