Layne Christensen Co. to Celebrate 130-Year Anniversary by Ringing NASDAQ Bell

Layne Christensen Co. announced that CEO Rene Robichaud will commemorate Layne's 130th anniversary by ringing the opening bell at the NASDAQ stock market on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012. Robichaud will be joined by members of Layne's executive team and board of directors.

"Our NASDAQ listing has been an important part of Layne's growth, and we are honored to ring the opening bell. Since our founding in 1882 as a regional water resource provider, Layne has grown and evolved into a global water management, construction and drilling company. As we move ahead under our One Layne operating philosophy, we will continue to invent, propose and deliver responsible solutions to the world's water, mineral and energy challenges," Robichaud said.

In addition to being broadcast on national business television at 9:30 a.m., the bell-ringing ceremony will be webcast live on NASDAQ's website and on the NASDAQ MarketSite Tower in New York City's Times Square.
