Kuffer Joins PPI

May 21, 2007

Bruce G. Kuffer, PE, has joined the Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI) as manager, PE Market Development for the PPI’s Municipal & Industrial Division (M&I). Kuffer brings with him over 35 years of technical expertise with extensive background in trenchless technology. Kuffer, a licensed professional engineer with a BS in Civil engineering from Michigan Tech, will be located in East Lansing, Mich.

Kuffer will focus on expanding knowledge in trenchless applications for municipal, rural, marine, forced main and other applications in which high-density polyethylene pipe (HDPE) offers a compelling construction advantage. The position supports the PPI’s efforts to bring attention to the benefits of applying trenchless applications to crumbling infrastructure, replacing piping through environmentally friendly installation methods, and supporting fast-moving suburban expansions with long-term service life cycles for piping systems.

Before joining PPI, Kuffer worked for two consulting engineering design firms and for Insituform, Inc. as head of business development.
