Kopacz Retires from Aquion Water Treatment Products

Aquion Water Treatment Products (AWTP) has announced that Michael Kopacz will retire from the company, effective July 1st, 2007.

Kopacz departs AWTP after a long and successful career in the water treatment industry, most recently as Executive Vice President of Erie Water Treatment Controls and ProSystems Group. Prior to that he held the position of International Sales Director for the firms’ RainSoft division.

“Mikes’ contributions have been invaluable,” said AWTP President, Bob Ruhstorfer. “His business and sales development acumen has set the standard by which we will continue to operate the Erie and ProSystems business units.”

Before joining AWTP, Kopacz served as Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Business Development for Ultra Violet Devices, Inc. He also worked for EcoWater Systems as International Operations Manager.

Kopacz has been a staunch supporter of the Water Quality Association, having served on various committees including the Membership Marketing Committee, the World Assembly Division Development Committee, and Chairman of the Market Development Committee.

Moving forward, Kopacz will focus his time on his family, grandchildren, and traveling.
