Insituform Receives $27 Million in Sewer Rehabilitation Contracts

Contracts from Sydney Water call for rehabilitation of storm water pipelines

Insituform Technologies, Inc., Chesterfield, Mo., has received two contracts from Sydney Water, the water utility serving the city of Sydney, Australia, to rehabilitate small- and medium-diameter storm water pipelines.

The awards are part of Sydney Water’s SewerFix Program, a three-year sewer rehabilitation effort designed to protect public health and reduce sewage overflows into environmentally sensitive waters.

Insituform said it will used cured-in-place pipe and its iPlus Infusion lining system to rehabilitate storm water pipelines in urban, coastal, national park and other vulnerable areas. The two three-year contracts have a combined value of $27 million.
