This new self-cleaning rotary drum screen separates solid debris from wastewater at high rates with low energy usage. The unit contains a rotating cylinder constructed of wedge wire screen, with a stationary doctor blade on the outside of the cylinder and an internal spray line. Models are available with drums of 24-in. diameter in many different lengths, and with drums of 36-in. diameter in 96- and 120-in. lengths.
Grit Monster is now available with JWC’s separation system and incorporates a vortex swirl concentrator and either an air-lift or specialized grit pump to remove fine particulate like sand, gravel and coffee grounds. The slurry is transferred to a rugged grit classifier for cleaning and dewatering. The system uses a low-speed agitator with adjustable paddles to ensure consistent grit removal across a wide variety of flows.
The Spiralift SLX system provides fine screening for heavy prison and institutional wastewater applications. This system screens, washes, conveys and compacts concentrated solids including clothing, sneakers, wood and other debris that clog and cause backups in units not built for heavy effluent. The unit features a heavy shredder with a 15-hp motor and drive coupled with an oversized auger-style channel screen.
