Imagine H2O Launches Inaugural Water Prize

Prize seeks business plans for new water efficiency businesses

Imagine H2O, a not-for-profit company with a mission to inspire and empower people to solve water problems, is launching the inaugural Imagine H2O Prize for Water Efficiency.

The competition is a business plan competition for new or early-stage water efficiency businesses. Competing teams submit an entry, including an executive summary of their businesses. A selection committee determines which teams advance and ultimately win prizes.

To enter the competition, a Team must submit a complete application, including a non-refundable entry fee of $100, or $50 if all team members are full-time students, and providing all information required on the application including resumes and an executive summary. The complete application must be submitted prior to the Round One Submission Deadline. To be eligible to compete in Round Two, a team’s complete application, entrance fee, resumes and executive summary must be received between Sept. 1 and Nov. 16, 2009.

Grand Prize is eligibility to participate in the IH20 Incubator Program and total prizes valued at up to $35,000, including $15,000 in cash; up to $10,000 of in-kind legal services from Cooley Godward Kronish, LLP; and up to $10,000 of in-kind accounting services from PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Second Place and Third Place Prizes include eligibility to participate in the IH20 Incubator Program and total prizes valued at up to $17,500 including $7,500 in cash; up to $5,000 of in-kind legal services from Cooley Godward Kronish, LLP; and up to $5,000 of in-kind accounting services from PricewaterhouseCoopers.
