Hungerford & Terry, Inc., a leading water conditioning firm since 1909, has appointed Alejandro Cuper as their exclusive representative for Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay and Central America as of December 2008.

Cuper worked for Kinetico, Inc. from 2005 to 2008. At that firm, he held several positions, including international manager of distribution, and during 2008 he was sales representative in charge of residential and small commercial water systems for Latin America and the Caribbean region.

“Alejandro Cuper brings excellent working and scholastic credentials that are important to Hungerford & Terry’s business efforts,” states Ken Sayell, vice president of sales and marketing for Hungerford & Terry. “As we celebrate our 100th anniversary in 2009, we welcome his extensive background in water treatment and environmental concerns. His unique experience as an advisor to the World Bank’s Board of Directors on water and related environmental issues is an asset to our municipal and industrial water engineering efforts and Hungerford & Terry’s customers.”

Earlier positions Cuper has held include: associate professor at the University of El Salvador, Buenos Aires, Argentina; environmental consultant for the government of Argentina; and director of sales for Hidraulica Mileto in Argentina.

A graduate with a Master of Science from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland (UK), Cuper also holds a bachelor's degree in Physics from the Free University of Brussels (Belgium).
