Hancor Engineering Award Recipient Recognized by ASAE

An outstanding candidate has been selected to receive the 2005 Hancor Soil and Water Engineering Award. Dale F. Heermann received this distinguished award for his contributions to irrigation water management at the American Society of Agricultural Engineers’ (ASAE) annual meeting.

Heermann is a recently retired supervisory agricultural engineer and research leader with the Water Management Research Unit of the Agricultural Research Service for the USDA and Colorado State University in Fort Collins , Colo,

“Hancor would like to congratulate Dr. Heermann as he has certainly demonstrated leadership in many facets of his career,” says Steve Anderson, president and CEO of Hancor. “Hancor is proud to sponsor this award in conjunction with the ASAE because it is important to recognize individual contributions that lead to the advancement of soil and water engineering.”

The selection committee chose Heermann, an ASAE Fellow, for his distinguished accomplishments and contributions to center pivot irrigation systems and irrigation scheduling technology. Heermann has an accomplished 37 year research career. He has been a dedicated member of the ASAE for over 46 years and has received many distinguished awards and honors throughout his career.
