Greeley and Hansen Names Stephen McGowan Managing Director of Midwest Operations

McGowan will lead day-to-day operations in Detroit, Indianapolis, Gary, Ind., offices

Greeley and Hansen, a national civil and environmental engineering and consulting firm, has named Stephen F. McGowan, P.E., BCEE, as managing director of the firm's Midwest Operating Group. McGowan, who most recently served as a vice president of Malcolm Pirnie, the Water Division of ARCADIS, has 27 years of wide-ranging environmental engineering and project management experience in the water and wastewater field.

As a managing director at Greeley and Hansen, McGowan will have broad responsibilities for directing day-to-day business operations for the firm's Detroit, Indianapolis and Gary, Ind., offices and the Chicago office civil engineering practice. He will also be responsible for the development and implementation of annual marketing and business development plans and budgets for the group.

A registered Professional Engineer and board-certified Environmental Engineer, McGowan holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in environmental engineering from Manhattan College. He is a member of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers, the American Water Works Assn. and the Water Environment Federation.
