Gorman-Rupp Elects Taylor to Board, Promotes Kirkendall

At the annual meeting of shareholders of The Gorman-Rupp Company held yesterday, Rick R. Taylor, president of Jay Industries located in Mansfield, Ohio, was elected to the board of directors. Taylor replaced William A. Calhoun who retired after 34 years of service on the board. In addition to the election of Taylor, the other members of the board were re-elected to serve for the following year.

The board of directors also announced the promotion of Robert E. Kirkendall to the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer. Kirkendall joined the company in 1978 and has served in various positions. In addition to Kirkendall, the other officers of the company were re-elected to serve for the following year.

The Gorman-Rupp Company manufactures pumps and related equipment for water, wastewater, construction, industrial, petroleum, original equipment, agricultural, fire protection, heating, ventilating and air conditioning and government applications.
